Description
This is a genuine Natural Chalcedony Banded Agate (Sulemani Aqeeq/Hakik) sourced from Iran, weighing 28.53 carats. The front face has been hand-polished into a smooth oval cabochon, revealing a rich, glassy deep-red body cut through with fine black banding that traces the stone’s natural growth layers. What makes this piece unusual is the reverse side: left entirely unpolished and in its raw, natural state exactly as it came out of the mountain, showing the stone’s true rough texture and orange-amber coloring with small natural surface pitting — a striking contrast to the glossy front.
This deliberate half-polished presentation lets the stone tell its own story, showing both what nature produced and what skilled cutting reveals underneath. As part of the broader Sulemani Aqeeq tradition, it carries the same long-standing cultural associations of protection, grounding, and inner strength found across the Middle East and South Asia.
Given the natural, uncut back, this piece is especially well suited to collectors and those drawn to raw mineral specimens as much as finished gemstones — a genuine talking point for a display case or a unique pendant setting that shows off both faces.
