Description
This is a genuine Natural Sulemani Agate (Aqeeq/Hakik) sourced from Iran, weighing 44.80 carats and hand-cut into a substantial oval cabochon. What makes this specimen exceptional is a naturally occurring pictorial formation — concentric cream-white banding converges into a clean triangular shape with a smaller triangle nested inside, set against a deep blackish-maroon body. The resulting image reads instantly as an eye enclosed within a triangle, a motif widely recognized as the “all-seeing eye.” This pattern is entirely the product of natural mineral banding during the agate’s formation — no carving, dye, or artificial enhancement of any kind.
Pictorial or “picture” agates like this — where natural banding coincidentally forms a recognizable symbol or image — sit in a special category prized by collectors well above standard banded material, valued for their rarity and the sheer improbability of nature producing such a clean geometric image. As part of the broader Sulemani Aqeeq tradition, the stone also carries the long-standing cultural and spiritual significance attached to agate across the Middle East and South Asia — protection, grounding, and inner strength.
The cabochon has been expertly hand-cut and polished to a smooth, glossy finish, preserving the natural formation perfectly intact. Given its size and pictorial rarity, it’s well suited to a statement pendant or the centerpiece of a serious collection.
