Description
This 9.26 carat Natural Emerald, known as Panna or Zamrud, comes from the Swat Valley in Pakistan, a region celebrated worldwide for producing some of the finest emeralds outside Colombia. Cut in the classic octagon “emerald cut” style with stepped facets, the stone displays a deep, dense green color with the natural internal inclusions — often called “jardin” (garden) by gemologists — that are a hallmark of genuine, untreated emerald. Panna holds deep significance in Vedic astrology, associated with the planet Mercury (Budh) and traditionally worn to enhance intellect, communication, and business success. Emeralds are naturally included stones by their very nature, and this visible internal character is part of what distinguishes a real emerald from a synthetic or heavily treated imitation. At over 9 carats, this Swat Valley emerald is a true centerpiece stone, combining significant size with deep, saturated natural color and the timeless octagon cut most associated with fine emeralds — a striking choice for a statement ring or pendant.
